The 18th of March, Roberto Ramuscello and Rocco Bronte, as President and Vice President of the Health in Action Foundation and the CENTRO STUDI ERASFORUM, participated in the event promoted by ERAS®Society Italia at the IRCCS in Pavia, dedicated to the nutritional problems of surgical patients in ERAS pathways.

During the seminar, Roberto Ramuscello, in front of an audience of doctors and health professionals, gave a report on the topic of lobbying in healthcare entitled “ERAS lobbying in Italy: the role of ERAS Forum”.
During the speech, it was highlighted that lobbying, if oriented towards the general interest, represents a fundamental tool to accompany clinical innovation, translate scientific evidence into concrete choices and support organizational models capable of improving the quality of care. Precisely for this reason, we particularly appreciated the choice of the organizers to include a reflection on this theme in the program.

The Health in Action Foundation would like to thank the President of ERAS®Society Italia, Prof. Marco Catarci, MD, FACS, for the welcome invitation, and the organizers of the seminar, including Dr. Riccardo Caccialanza and Dr. Diletta Cassini MD, PhD, for the scientific quality of the initiative and for promoting a multidisciplinary discussion on a current and strategic issue such as lobbying in healthcare: a modern perspective, concrete and necessary for a health system that really wants to evolve.

The meeting in Pavia is part of a broader path. During the speech, the next stage of the awareness-raising work on the ERAS theme was indicated: Brussels, where, under the aegis of the Health in Action Foundation, “The States General of ERAS” are being organized, with the aim of bringing this discussion into an increasingly institutional, European and strategic dimension.
The Health in Action Foundation, together with the ErasForum Study Center, thus continues its commitment to a healthcare capable of connecting skills, scientific evidence, vision and public responsibility.
