Henriëtte Smid-Nanninga has more than 21 years of experience as a nurse in the surgical department. She works in the Martini Hospital in Groningen. Since 2016 she has been working there as ERAS coordinator. In addition to her role as ERAS coordinator, since 2018 she has also been tasked with bringing nursing research and Evidence Based Practice (EBP) to a higher level. EBP and ERAS is a valuable combination for nurses and allied health professionals. In 2020 she graduated as a clinical epidemiologist at the University of Amsterdam. Her mission is to get more nursing and allied health research and EBP done focused on ERAS and daily practice.
