Nutrition is an essential part of a successful ERAS pathway. For oesophageal cancer patients malnutrition is especially common, so this is an even more important aspect for these patients.

This review explores the current literature on nutrition in the pre-, peri- and post-operative phases of the management of oesophageal cancer as part of an ERAS pathway.
